A website is a means to an end.
Whether you’re selling a product, showcasing your work, engaging your stakeholders, or something else entirely, your website should reflect the purpose and values of your endeavor, and it should empower you to reach your goals.

Corey McKrill has been a tremendous asset to United Way as we enhance our web presence. His skills are wide-ranging, he’s highly conscientious, and when a challenge arises, he’s focused on finding the best, most cost-effective solution. In addition to all that, he’s a thoroughly nice guy, very easy to work with, and somebody who can explain complex tech concepts in simple, plain English.
I love to skip rocks. Someday I’ll live on an endless beach of flat stones next to a mirror lake, preferably in the Pacific Northwest.
After growing up in Juneau, Alaska, I got my BA in Geology and Environmental Studies from Whitman College. My passion for environmental issues led me to a web production job at Seattle-based Grist.org, a non-profit green news website. At Grist, my exposure to the economics and politics of sustainability inspired me to look towards sustainable business for graduate school, and so I enrolled in the MBA program at Bainbridge Graduate Institute. Then, after four years at Grist, I set off on my own to do freelance web design while finishing my degree.
In my design work, I’m passionate about creating deep, functional websites that empower my clients in their endeavors. In my studies, I’m fascinated by the possibilities of social entrepreneurship and committed to shifting the business worldview towards sustainability.
When I can’t find an acceptable rock-skipping beach, I cycle, play Ultimate Frisbee, and draw inspiration from my girlfriend Sarah and my cat Lily.
